Chocolate reviewed against its origin

Bars and boxes traced back to the cacao they are made from. Every review cross-links to the origin records in the archive, so you can read the chocolate and the place side by side.

How these reviews work

Products carry the same provenance ladder as origin records. draft means the entry is compiled from published maker and competition sources and the editorial team has not tasted the bar. reviewed means the claims have been corroborated independently. verified means the editorial team has tasted it directly. Tasting descriptors are always labelled with their source — maker copy and competition citations are never presented as our own tasting.

Why the archive stays separate

The origin, country, atlas, map, genetics, processing, and glossary pages carry no affiliate links and never will. The archive is the reference; these reviews are commercial. Keeping the boundary visible is the point.
