A small tropical-north Australian origin around Mossman, the Daintree and Mission Beach, near the southern climatic limit for commercial cacao. Daintree Estates marketed the first Australian-grown chocolate from 2011, and a Mission Beach grower won a 2017 International Cocoa Award.
