Piura 계곡 상류에 자리한 페루 북부 산지로, 흰 떡잎 콩의 비중이 높은 카카오 로트로 알려져 있다. 2009년부터 Norandino 협동조합과 협력 단체들이 지역 군락에서 모수를 선발해 이 품종을 증식했으며, 이례적으로 건조한 재배 환경에 적응했다.
